We believe the church thrives with good and godly leadership throughout the church

Some of our pastoral and ministry leaders are employed, but most serve as volunteers. We have an overall leadership team (the Bible calls these 'Elders') who oversee the whole church. In addition, we have a staff team, a trustee team and teams responsible for different ministries. We have many excellent voluntary leaders who serve magnificently along with a multitude of volunteers – so how can you get involved?

The goal of every leader in our church is to serve. We have a gifted, passionate and diverse team who serve our church and our town. We love all our teams!

  • Our eldership team serve to set the overall vision and direction for the church
  • Our staff team serve us in shaping our strategy and the everyday running of our church
  • Our ministry leaders serve the activities of our church
  • Our Growth Group leaders care for small groups of people
  • Our trustee team serve us in financial and legal governance and compliance

Our Pastors

Sean Gubb

Senior Pastor, Elder and Trustee

Sean is the Lead Pastor of Jubilee Church having founded it in 2002 and leads the eldership team and serves as as a trustee. He is also a trustee of 'Farnham Churches Support' the charity that plays a key role in bringing churches together in Farnham. Before founding Jubilee, for 15 years he worked at Waverley Abbey House heading up Waverley Abbey College and Ministry Operations before a becoming a director for 12 years. He has a MA in Pastoral Leadership. He is married to Hayley who is a teacher and also works for Jubilee Church two days per week as Children's Pastor. They have 4 grown up sons and three grandchildren and are respite foster carers.

Ric Garvey

Pastor and Elder

Ric came from a banking background is now a Pastor with special focus on preaching and discipleship. He is an elder and is currently working on a PhD into spiritual formation and mission. He also serves as a trustee of Growing Hope, a partner charity that serves children with additional needs. He is married to Lindy who has home schooled their four children, two of whom are now are university.
