Inclusion and Accessibility

Welcoming every beloved child of God

We believe each person is a beloved child of God, made in God’s own image and an essential part of the church, the body of Christ.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

We acknowledge that attending church and events can present barriers for some children and adults with additional needs and disabilities.

At Jubilee we want everyone to be seen, heard, able to belong and join in.

22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts we think are less honourable we treat with special honour… 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that it’s parts should have equal concern for each other.

Over a number of years we developed programmes to help families with childlren with additional needs to feel welcome and included.

Social Story

To help parents and carers prepare their children we have developed a social story and a typical schedule for our Sunday morning services.

Special Provision In Our Children's Ministry

Safeguarding

The care and protection of children, young people and adults involved in Church activities is the responsibility of everyone who participates in the life of the Church.  At Jubilee all our leaders complete Safeguarding training and are DBS checked. We also endeavour to have a First Aid trained team member in our groups.
